Yara is a Lebanese & Syrian restaurant family, first brought to the restaurant scene in Manchester back in 2008, we started with our Altrincham restaurant and slowly developed into 5 restaurants which all equally bring you our ethos of excellent Syrian & Lebanese cuisine along with traditional high end customer service and value for money.
Our inspiration comes from the ancient city of Damascus, Syria which is a place renowned for its rich culture, hospitality, and culinary heritage. Often regarded as one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, Damascus has long been a crossroads of flavours, traditions, and craftsmanship. It is also closely associated with some of the earliest recorded cookbooks in history, reflecting a deep-rooted passion for food that has been passed down through generations.
At Yara, we honour this legacy by bringing authentic Lebanese and Syrian cuisine to Manchester, combining time-honoured recipes, fresh ingredients, and warm hospitality to create a dining experience that celebrates the heart of the Levant.
Here in Manchester, we maintain quality control in all 5 of our restaurants in the unique way our food is sourced, prepared and distributed in our in-house food preparation unit. We are proud to bring you fresh, Welsh lamb of the highest quality, all carved in Manchester by our own chefs.
The chicken and the lamb are all marinated or minced by us, so no matter where you dine you can trust the Yara flavours will be consistently excellent. We are proudly supplying only halal meats, which are all finished off on charcoal grills to bring out the rich authentic flavours. The seafood includes locally sourced fresh fish and king prawns, offering a taste of the Mediterranean.

“The food was very tasty! I ordered halloumi which was amazing, and the falafels were great. It came with soft hot breads and spicy sauce on the side. There was a marriage party going on, but we still received great service. Staff was fantastic, definitely recommended! Thank you Yara :)”
